So, the BRITs are moving North after five decades in London.
A moment for soul-searching about the capital’s cultural drag net? Questioning why a centralised industry deciding where best to host the party views this as controversial? Maybe to debate why the CEO of BPI thinks it’s a ‘bold move’ to go and play to fans elsewhere in the country?
Nah. Not today.
At Notorious we’re just high about hosting the party, ready to welcome fans to a city boasting a world-class musical heritage and what is (arguably) Europe’s leading music venue.
Of course, if you’re asking, it would suggest that building a world-class facility in a thriving city, with established demand, vast untapped potential – and suggesting it hosts a major event might, you know, be a reasonable, not desperately controversial plan.
But ‘Bold move’? If you insist.
