In August, one of our very own, Robin Wooller, joined the judging panel at the Salford Sessions.
This exciting event, hosted by NewDigitalAge, brought together a host of innovative media companies vying for the attention of industry leaders. As part of the judging panel (the ‘dragons’), Robin, our Digital Client Director, had the opportunity to evaluate cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking marketing strategies. From AI-powered tools to revolutionary marketing tactics, the pitches were both impressive & inspiring.
Bursting out of the London bubble to promote UK-wide excellence in all things media, representatives from Adform, AudienceQ & VIOOH were put through their paces, with a 15 minute slot to pitch their offering and field questions.
After this, Robin was joined by Elizabeth Sloan, Notorious Planning Director & AV-superstar, as pitchees split into three groups to get into the nitty gritty of their offerings in front of individual judges and their teams.
Robin & Liz were extremely impressed by the passion & creativity of the presenters and the potential of their solutions to make waves in the industry.
Liz fed back that the Sessions format delivered a fresh perspective, particularly when it comes to meeting new media faces outside the usual networks.
“It was a good opportunity to see some potential new media partners to work with, and to see new products coming to market that can build on partners we already work with”.
The fast-paced 15 minute format didn’t mean that media partners couldn’t make a strong impression, as Robin fed back,
“There are quite a few partners that we’ll speak to again to find out more. The format forces people to go straight to the USP and not get too bogged down in data points.”
By participating in such events, we continue to stay at the forefront of industry trends and identify potential partnerships that can drive innovation and growth for our clients.
